Description
Inspired by the original MOD “Trident” designed by decorated U.S. Navy SEAL James “Patches” Watson, the ATFK offers excellent cutting and puncturing capabilities and extreme strength in a very compact package. Its stout spear point blade is available with either a plain or partially serrated edge. Precision ground from American-made 154CM high-carbon stainless steel, the ATFK’s blade is coated with Black Diamond-Like Coat (DLC), a permanently bonded state-of-the-art coating that provides superior wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and non-reflective qualities.
The manual version of the ATFK features an ambidextrous thumb stud for rapid one-handed opening of the knife with either hand. It is also available to qualified buyers in a spring-powered automatic version. Both versions lock open via a plunge lock mechanism – one of the strongest lock mechanisms available on a folding knife and one of the few that enables the user to safely close the knife with one hand, even while wearing gloves. The unique flush-mounted style of the button allows immediate operation of the opening mechanism while serving as an effective safety against accidental firing. The Milspec-anodized milled aluminum handles of the ATFK feature textured wingwalk insert panels and strategically placed traction grooves for a superior grip in the most demanding conditions. A reversible spring-steel pocket clip allows the knife to be configured for right-hand, tip-up or tip-down carry.
