Ayoob Razorback

Massad Ayoob is the law enforcement editor for American Handgunner, handgun editor for Guns magazine and director of the renowned Lethal Force Institute. His Razorback design is a state-of-the-art expression of a traditional Japanese tanto design, optimized for modern tactical and defensive applications. Its armor-piercing tip is properly angled (unlike many modern tantos that are mistakenly angled too steeply) for maximum cutting and penetration performance. The narrow blade reduces the possibility of binding and allows the knife to be turned and maneuvered in the middle of a cut.

The Razorback?s extended handle is precision machined from aircraft aluminum and Milspec anodized for extreme wear resistance. Its ergonomic shape provides a comfortable grip for even large hands and includes both an integral guard to protect the user?s hand and a subtle hooked butt to aid in retracting the knife following a thrust. A powerful defensive tool, the Razorback comes equipped with a molded Kydex? sheath that can be configured for left- or right-side carry inside the waistband or on the belt. This allows the user to customize his carry method to fit his personal fighting style and allows the Razorback to be drawn with the knife edge forward or back.

An extremely potent defensive weapon, the Razorback also makes an excellent compact field knife and is ideal for air crew members or anyone else who routinely operates in confined spaces.
